Hard Travelin', Sound Bytes August 30th, 2007
I work for some damn cool people who happen to take really good care of their employees. I’ve mentioned before that one of my favorite perks is occasional box seats for the Gorge. It’s one of the best venues imaginable, perched on the side of the Columbia River. I’ve seen some great shows there: last year’s Sasquatch Festival, The White Stripes, James Taylor (with my mom), Jack Johnson, and tomorrow night will be my third time seeing Dave Matthews Band! And since I won’t be on the lawn this time, hopefully I will come back without a big ass shoeprint across my chest… it’s a long story but thankfully we were sitting beside a nurse.

My company’s box seats are (IMHO) some of the best in the entire place. (In the picture above, if you look behind the “pit”, you’ll see the sound booth area. The box is just to the left of that.) You can kick your feet up in your own little porch-like area while a typically cute waitress brings your beer to you. The seats also include VIP parking (a huge blessing) and entry into the VIP lounge, the Cliffhouse, which happens to be the only area that liquor is served. On top of clean, private bathrooms for VIPs, they also have good food and some kick ass margaritas.
My honey can’t make it this time but at least I do get to spoil some of our best friends instead. Yeah, it’s so rough living the good life… I sure could get used to it!

You should add those bookmark share buttons on your blog, you’d be surprised how many people actually use them! Unless you already have them and I’m just blind
