Sorry for my unannounced absence, we have had a lot going on in the house of Greer these days and I don’t think it’s going to slow down much anytime soon. Lach and I took the day off yesterday for an extra long long weekend and it was the best possible decision ever. We went to REI and picked up some paddling gear we had ordered and then headed back out to Lake Washington. We paddled across the width of the lake, which (for those of you in the area) is the length of the I-90 bridge. Not a bad distance for only the second time we’ve taken our new toys out. We also had the joy of Mt. Rainier gracing us with her presence.

The Sasquatch festival at the Columbia River Gorge was as much drunken fun as expected. It would have been hard pressed not to have a good time with my old friend, Homeskillet. My favorite sets were The Decemberists and Beck (despite being complete wackos with a puppet show in tow). Since my time is short for the day, here’s the P-I recap and the visual recap will be prepared later.

I feel rather guilty now over profiteering on the Saturday night tickets. For the first time ever, the Gorge actually had to stop a concert because of insane weather… lightening and spikey hail to be exact. I was expecting hate mail when I returned home but luckily there was none in the inbox.

Anywho, I’m going to be working on Atlas Burning for a few days, so don’t get worried that pissed off concert goers may have found where I live. Since Lach’s already threatened intruders with swords, I don’t think we have much to worry about anyways.
